Step 2
We Handle The Paperwork

We work with your doctor to complete all forms, gather required documents, and submit them correctly the first time.

Step 3
You Get Your Medication

Once approved, you receive your medication — often for free — delivered to your doctor’s office or pharmacy. We manage renewals too.

Real Results

John was paying over $900 a month for his asthma medication, even with insurance. Our team found a Prescription Assistance Program, handled his paperwork, and now John gets his medication for just $55 per month, saving him more than $10,000 a year. These results are individual and based on eligibility, but they show what’s possible when you have the right support.

Individual results may vary

Who Qualifies

✔️ People who take costly name-brand or specialty medications
✔️ Patients who meet income limits set by the drug manufacturer
✔️ Those who don’t have enough
prescription coverage, or have high out-of-pocket costs
✔️ Patients whose doctors agree to participate in the paperwork process

Each program is different — that’s why we do the legwork for you.

How APA Works With Your Insurance

Affordable Prescription Assistance is not an insurance company. We help you get manufacturer-sponsored help that works alongside or instead of your health plan’s drug coverage. Many patients combine Affordable Prescription Assistance with ACA plans, limited medical plans, or no insurance at all.

What is Affordable Prescription Assistance?
Affordable Prescription Assistance is a membership-based service that helps patients access manufacturer-sponsored Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs). These programs provide brand-name prescription medications at little to no cost for people who qualify. Our team manages the entire process — from checking eligibility and preparing paperwork to working with your doctor, submitting applications, and handling renewals.

Most people qualify if they meet these conditions:

  • S. resident with a valid prescription.
  • Limited income (usually below 300–400% of the federal poverty level).
  • Uninsured, underinsured, or high out-of-pocket medication costs.
  • Not eligible for Medicaid or other full-coverage government programs.

Even if you have insurance, you may still qualify if your medication isn’t covered, your copays are too high, or you’ve reached your coverage limit.

Our process makes it simple:

  1. Application Review – We check which programs you qualify for.
  2. Doctor Coordination – We collect any required paperwork from your prescriber.
  3. Submission & Approval – We prepare and submit applications to manufacturers.
  4. Medication Delivery – Once approved, your prescriptions ship to you or your doctor’s office.
  5. Ongoing Support – We handle renewals, appeals, and updates for as long as you’re a member.

We help with most brand-name medications that have manufacturer programs, including treatments for:

  • Diabetes (Insulin, Ozempic, Jardiance)
  • Heart disease & cholesterol (Eliquis, Xarelto, Lipitor)
  • Autoimmune conditions (Humira, Enbrel)
  • Mental health (Abilify, Latuda)
  • Asthma & respiratory (Symbicort, Spiriva)
  • Certain cancer and specialty medications

Membership starts at $47.95 per month and scales depending on how many medications you need. The fee covers all services — applications, renewals, doctor coordination, and appeals. Most members save up to 90% on retail drug costs.
Most applications are processed within 2–4 weeks once all documents are complete. Some urgent cases may be expedited. We track progress and provide updates.
No. Patients without insurance often qualify. If you have insurance, you may still qualify if your drug isn’t covered, your copay is too high, or coverage has run out.
If your income increases or decreases, we recheck eligibility and adjust your applications. Many programs require updated proof of income each year, and we handle this for you.
Most PAPs are for brand-name drugs only, since generics are typically lower-cost. If a generic is still unaffordable, we’ll help you explore discount programs or alternatives.
Your membership covers multiple medications. We bundle all your applications together and manage them for you. Many members receive help with two to four prescriptions at once.
